A new study from the University of California-Davis has found that having a good-looking partner makes YOU more attractive to the opposite sex.

The researchers found that this affect worked better on women, as men are more likely to find beautiful women attractive, regardless of who they're with.

Researcher Jessica Yorzinski explained what she saw her subjects looking at during the study.

"Even though people were only asked to evaluate the potential mate in each photograph, they all spent a lot amount of time looking at the mate's partner," Yorzinski said. "Women spent more time looking at the partners that they found attractive, while men shifted their gaze back and forth more."
